Radnor Lake: A Cure For What Ails You

Radnor Lake, the sweet little nature area that feels like it is miles from anywhere, but is actually just off Franklin Road (or Granny White Pike), is one of my favorite happy places in Nashville. I think that stress literally must fall off of me as I walk along the road there, and I always leave feeling thankful to God for His beautiful creation.

Today, since I was once again unmotivated to get in some exercise, I decided to grab my camera and head over to Radnor for a late afternoon walk. Not letting the full parking lot on the Franklin Road side deter me (although it was tempting!), I drove around to the other parking lot and had a nice walk before the sun went down. I wish I could show some beautiful shots of budding trees as a reward for my effort, but I was a little early in the season for anything like that. I did take this shot of the lake and will look forward to returning in the weeks to come to see how God adorns the woods around the lake with blooms.

"Why are you downcast, O my soul?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God."

Psalm 42:11, NIV

Ahhh...Radnor. The perfect prescription for stress relief. And, that is a beautiful photo!

Thanks. I almost called you to join me, but didn't know if you were free. We'll have to go together again sometime.

Nashville could say, "Why are you so overcast, o my soul..." these days. But I think it means the same thing! Nice shot, Nanette!
