OK, I'm going to share with you a new little place that I explored today with my friend, Christina. It's been there for a few months, so I'm probably just late in getting around to finding it, but it was definitely worth going back and telling my friends about.
It is called Edgehill Village, and is located over off Edgehill Ave. and Villa Place, near Belmont University and Music Row. http://www.edgehillvillage.com/
There are cool (albiet pricey) shops, places to eat and even a "doggie spa" (I don't have a dog, but it would be good for those who do). We started out at the Edgehill Studios Cafe for some coffee and a muffin and then started exploring the shops, ending up at the Fat Straw for some bubble tea.
All of the people we talked to in the shops were very friendly and glad to tell about their store and the history of the area (it used to be the White Way Cleaners, for those of you who have been around Nashville a while). Without exception, all of the shopkeepers recommended the Mexican restaurant, Rosario's, especially telling us to try the fish tacos. We decided that coffee and bubble tea was probably enough for our stomachs in such a short amount of time, but we will definitely be going back to Rosario's sometime in the near future, with plans to sit out on the patio. Also, the paper/gift shop called Queen Bee was not open today, so we'll have to go back there next time.
So, if you're looking for a fun little outing for a Saturday (or any day), head on over to Edgehill Village (but let's try to keep it our little secret!) ;-)

Hey Nanette. It is a very cool area. I personally didn't care for Rosario's (and neither did Jon), but I have a few friends who really like it. I have heard the bakery across the street there makes a mean cupcake!
